Description: Award winning, Atlantic 42™ pilothouse catamaran design. Layout features midship cockpit for easy short handed sailing. A full visibility pilothouse is aft of the cockpit which includes a duplicate steering station with engine controls and instruments on the starboard side, a deluxe navigation area to port and dining table aft. Fully equipped galley is located in the starboard hull adjacent to the pilot house. A double cabin is located midships in each hull. A single cabin with pipe berth in the starboard hull. port hull forward has large locker for bikes and sailboards. Each hull contains a head, a separate shower compartment is located aft in the port hull.   Construction: Hulls are constructed from vacuum bagged epoxy resin and Knytex glass fiber cored with Core-Cell foam. All exterior surfaces are spray painted with AwlGrip™ polyurethane coating. The hull is silver, decks are light gray. The contrasting bottom paint is blue AwlGrip.   Hulls molded from bi-axial glass and epoxy resin (SP Systems, Ampreg Resin) with 3/4″ Core Cell foam core. Additional laminations of reinforcing glass fiber applied in the area of shroud chainplates, daggerboard fin and crossbeam bulkheads. Custom “catwalk” aft of pilothouse between hulls. Bottom paint 10/2008 Sea Hawk Cukote Bio Plus red   Rig:Rig (Anodized Alum. Mast & Boom) by Sparcraft, Cape Town, with internal halyards, wiring for masthead tri-color/anchor light (anchor light LED 10/2006), steaming and deck light. Two main halyards, one genoa halyard and one spinnaker halyard. Boom with internal outhaul & 2 internal reefing lines.   Sails: Sails by Quantum: Mainsail: Bainbridge CL DIAX-LSP laminate fabric with Harken “B System” batten cars, stackpak mainsail cover, Main inspected, refurbished, boom straps replaced, sail cover reinforced & zipper replaced Jib: roller furling jib in CL laminate, New 10/ 2007.
