SERENGETI’S hi-end design and build out put her in a unique catagory of very few yachts. Built by Ian Franklin in New Zealand, she is a yacht of tremendous innovations and calibre. She is a dual purpose yacht, able to cruise in luxury. The light, open interior layout has THREE STATEROOMS, two heads, a lovely salon, and a great in line style galley. Her innovative features are  well engineered and thought out based on her owners years of sailing and multiple owned yachts. The furling unit is set below to keep the deck clear of un-needed hazards. Many of the sheet stoppers run thru coamings under the deck further reducing clutter. She has an covered navigation area in the cockpit protecting a full screen computer. Her interior woods are composite for light weight. She has generator, air conditioning, an easily accessed engine area, gorgeous galley you would not expect on a 60 footer. Her construction utilises an combination of Aramid (Kevlar) and E-Glass fibres, stiff and strong and resistant to impact. The lifting keel is fitted into an integral box structure allowing cruising in shallow areas, where many other yachts of her size would view enviously. A swim platform allows for easy access when stern to, and functions as a back porch or a perch on which to rest a drink and swim. Her family used SERENGETI for criuising. Nightly, the chef and captain cooked gourmet meals and entertained guests; all have tremendous memories of the experience.
