CATALINE is a blue water sailing catamaran built in South Africa to Lloyds ISO 9002/BS 5750 standards. Vessel was outfitted in North Carolina by its owner, a certified Marine Surveyor and experienced ocean sailor. Boat was used unrigged (in a trawler configuration) for the first 5 yrs having completed numerous coastal cruises including the 5000 mile Great Circle Loop. She was then rigged and outfitted in October 2008 for offshore sailing having completed cruises in the Bahamas and Bermuda. CATALINE is cutter rigged; a safe and comfortable ocean going catamaran, well equipped with state-of-the-art navigation, communication and RADAR electronics. She is very economical to operate and maintain employing twin Volvo Penta 19hp diesel engines with quiet and efficient sail drives.
