SHEARWATER is one of the highly regarded Raised Salon Hylas 54’s, with an exquisite spacious airy varnished teak interior.  Her exceptional maintenance and recent additions and improvements offer the next owner a very well equipped high quality yacht ready to ocean cruise or liveaboard.   SHEARWATER was designed by the world renowned German Frers and quality built by the very experienced Hylas/Queen Long yard. She is a very strong, comfortable and beautifully finished yacht with great performance. A comprehensive refit in 2010/2011 included a new engine, sail and rigging upgrades, new canvas and refinished brightwork.  The 8kw generator has low hours and the bottom was recently refinished with (4) barrier coats and Interlux Micron paint.    One of the special design features SHEARWATER offers (not available on most other Hylas 54’s) is a custom shoal keel with centerboard.  The centerboard may be lowered to enhance windward performance; however Shearwater’s stability and ability to perform well in all conditions does not require the board to be lowered.
