2005 SCOUT Abaco 222, BOAT OWNER’S NOTES. This 2005 Scout Abaco 222 is a sharp looking boat in like new condition with some serious Scout quality and only 215 hours logged. It provides a very smooth and dry ride. The 200 HP Yamaha 4 Stroke is so quiet you can hardly tell it is running at Idle and it provides enough HP to cruise at 42 MPH when you are in a hurry to get to the fishing grounds or to your favorite family fun spot. The boat was purchased off the showroom floor in late 2006 and launched for the first time in 2007. Canvas Bimini included with full enclosure, rear drop curtains have never even been removed from their packaging. Cockpit has built in tackle station with freshwater sink directly behind pilots seat. 10 gallon freshwater tank, livewell and multiple underseat storage areas. The V-Berth is plenty long enough at over 6′ and provides more than adequate space for an afternoon nap or a quick overnight trip. There is also a porcelain head with holding tank. ELECTRONICS – The Raymarine A65 GPS/Fishfinder was top of the line in 2007 and still works flawlessly. A VHF marine-band radio was also installed along with a new Stereo/CD player in 2008. The stereo is also satellite radio capable. MAINTENANCE – This boat has been professionally maintained since the day it was purchased. The oil was changed seasonally and it was professionally winterized. Bottom paint new in 2010. Batteries new mid-season 2009. Dual bank battery charger also installed by factory with selector switch. Bilge pump was replaced mid-season 2010. Interior and exterior professionally detailed every spring. This boat is truly in like new condition. Bunk trailer included, brand new, only used twice a year. Surge brakes on both axles and a flush-out kit was installed. New brake calipers installed in 2009. This is a great all around boat for family fun or serious fishing. With 2 jobs and 2 young children the time factor just doesn’t allow for any use right now.
