Keel/Centerboard Combination for combining upwind efficiency with very shoal draft. Lively performance, reliable handling, & high stability with “racer sharp” waterline entry, substantial flare in the topsides forward & powerful quarters that taper to a shapely & relatively small transom. These features avoid the potential trim & handling problems. Remarkable upwind performance due to the long shallow keel, kick up rudder & noncorroding fiberglass centerboard. Retractable keel is easily raised and lowered by hand with no need for a winch.
