Her sleek deck lines follow her older sister the Salona 44 giving a spacious and obstacle free cockpit with an easily convertible closed to open transom. The coach roof and forward deck gives ample sunbathing areas. Two very large cockpit lockers with a dedicated locker for two gas bottles and a further one for life raft storage provides all the stowage one could need. The two steering wheels are a trade mark of this comfortable boat with absolutely no compromise on sailing equipment. An easily adjustable genoa and mainsheet system helps in trimming sails and gives you ability to furl the genoa without sending crew forward to adjust the leech, this together with single line reefing mainsail gives total “all from cockpit” security and sailing potential. The beautifully arranged Harken under deck furler lets you take full advantage of the wind and with her narrow lines and low displacement allows you to fully use the 140% genoa in as little as 5 kts of wind instead of resorting to motoring. Not only is everything good above deck but stepping down the companion way one is not to be anything else but exhilarated with her spacious salon and hand picked veneers with a fine mat varnish finish. The 195 cm headroom, well equipped galley on the port side, navigation station opposite, a big salon table ready to be lowered to create an extra 205 cm berth. The standard layout gives a big stern heads, an aft cabin and a really spacious owner?s cabin situated in the forward section of the boat providing real comfort to anyone ready to choose life aboard. The owner?s cabin is equipped with three hatches each fitted with mosquito nets and dark shade plates, two big under seat lockers with large shelves above, a full 210 cm berth. Convenient reading lights, 12V and 220V sockets all of which will allow you the comforts of home whilst experiencing the challenge of the elements. The stern cabin is similarly equipped with a single locker, a 210 cm berth, seat and large shelf, 12V and 220V sockets and two port-lights. The under floor bilge pump is self-priming with the added ability to switch over to a 3 m long pipe for vacuum draining of all bilge and engine compartments. The heads is well arranged with a fully drained wet locker compartment, a good size washbasin, a shower with membrane pump drainage, and manual pumped sea toilet. Construction is one of strong points of the Salona yard. A big stainless steel frame takes loads from the keel and shrouds and spreads them securely to a wide area of the hull. The slamming zone is single skin to avoid shear failure of core material under heavy loads, the area is additionally reinforced with layers of triax E-glass fabric. The deck is sandwich built with a structural design incorporating a ceiling inner liner to better withstand high longitudinal and transverse loads. The construction is stiff, strong and light giving a very seaworthy boat which will withstand high loads from rig, wind and sea conditions. The boat is well equipped for long sailing.
