This is a NEW CUSTOM BUILD. Made in Shelter Island, NY, by CH Marine Yachts, the 30 Nomad is designed to provide a quick, stable platform for fishing, scuba diving, and family outings. She features an extremely efficient propulsion system and a unique opening transom. Nicknamed the “Tailgate,” a large portion of the transom hinges down to become a swim platform providing easy on and off access for either an inflatable, mopeds, a wheelchair or divers. At anchor in your favorite harbor, you’ll be watching sunsets at the water’s edge with the tailgate down. Twin inboard diesels, driving surface piercing propellers that are tucked up in ventilated tunnels increase efficiency and top speed, and decrease fuel consumption. Since the props are recessed inside the hull tunnels there is added protection against striking submerged objects. Power calls for a pair of Yanmar 315 HP diesels that will provide a cruising speed in the neighborhood of 48 mph, and with these engines the Nomad tops out at over 50 mph!
