RENOVATED 2010!!! One Off- Finnish Design Hull & Deck & Salon interior work are very high quality. Old original Fully Teak wood 90%, salon leather   The sailing ketch was built in 1937 in the yard of the famous Willy Empacher in Königsberg. This sailboat is unique since only one was built of this type; during the second world war the factory was destroyed by a bomb attack. The speciality of the sailboat is that except the mainmast it was fully made of teak.  The designer, Curt W. Eichler, designed it in a way that the skipper alone could have sailed it but at the same time the comfort of the boat was also taken into account; this way the 40 feet long boat got into shape. Seaworthiness is ensured by the densely located frames (fixed with iron panels every 600 mm and teak every 150 mm) and the thick teak edge of the hull. The current owner renovated the sailboat in 2008-2010 at the Navalia boat-building yard. Renovation was based on the original plans using first class new material and fully preserving the old material. The renovation was finished in 2010. The boat’s run is excellent in both heavy and light wind. The long keel easily drives the boat in direction while cruising and the sails of the two masts keep wind force in balance. The outcome of the renovation project has become a classical maritime boat equipped with hi-tech navigation and electronic devices – all hidden, thus preserving the classical atmosphere of the reborn vessel.
