BIG PRICE REDUCTION. The Macgregor 65′, designed for worldwide cruising and racing, is claimed to be the fastest production cruising yacht ever built. This ultra high performance is the result of its long waterline and narrow, easily driven hull. The 65’s have been thoroughly proven through thousands of miles of offshore cruising and racing. Powered by a 153 HP Yanmar Turbo Charged diesel engine, she displaces 32,000 lbs. with 12,000 lbs. of ballast. Even with such a fast profile she is still roomy enough to accommodations up to ten people.   The boat as she sits has been undergoing a refit since purchased by the current owner. The interior is very unique on these boats with grey molded fiberglass bulkheads and a carpet type fabric on the walls. This fabic has been taken off. Some wood paneling has been added in the main salon to create a warmer feel. The upholstery is in need of re-newal but the blue fabric is readially available. Pier 77 Shipyard has been redoing the 12-volt system on the boat over the past several months. Although not entirely a project boat work remains to be done. The exterior both hull and the deck has been newly painted a beautiful Royal Blue which gives the Macgregor a totally unique look. She is on the hard at the shipyard available for showings.
