Originally called Fish Eagle of Brook and built for short handed cruising by the Owner and his wife either on their own or with a couple of friends. The normal season included weekend Solent sailing and an annual cruise to Brittany.  The Owner has written “I’ve sailed most kinds of boats for many years, but I’ve never sailed any boat comparable to a Swan 44.  I’ve just done a 1,022 mile cruise, so I know her intimately in all kinds of conditions.  If you love sailing, you will love the boat.”   The first owner was always keen to keep his Swan in a good, seamanlike condition so she has always had a program of winter maintenance here out of the water at Port Hamble. The rig, sails and running rigging are also checked and serviced regularly.   The new owner purchased the boat through us last year. A very knowledgeable sailor, the present owner has done a great job of bringing this Swan up to date. The following is a list of works carried out over the past twelve months and this work can be reflected in her current asking price which we believe to be very good value (and VAT paid).
